"But seek ye first The kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you" Mt.6:33 WHAT'S A HARE HOUND? I guess by some people's definition it is a hound who runs a hare fast, wild and recklessly. And usually the inference points toward a dog who readilly competes in the Large Pack format.
LEB CITY TIMOTHY (Whelped December 12, 1995) Timmy is about 13 1/2 inches tall and built on the rugged side with a deep chest and muscular physique. He's a mild mannered friendly dog with excellent handling skills. He's always been a hound that hunts with you instead you with him. A good searcher and a gutty tireless hunter of medium speed that runs a solid rabbit under most conditions with a never give up attitude. He has a chop mouth used liberally and will oft times give tongue when harking to a running pack. He's an alert eager dog always in the group getting his share of the work done, if not more. AND HE DOESN'T RUN DEER. "The Toolman" is a pleasure to hunt with as he contributes a lot to the success of the pack and gets a lot done. Pretty good snowdog too. There are very few hunts we've made over the years where Tim was not a part of the pack. His handling ability, the fact that he will absolutely NOT run a deer and gets A LOT done in a hunt situation has afforded us to shoot over a thousand hare over this dog. A true hunting companion that has earned the title here of HUNTING DOG.

LEB CITY RUTH
whelped 12-27-01 Ruth, is a 13 inch female with beautiful black and tan silky fur like her Mom "Candy", and her Dad "Bruno". She's a hard searching, self hunting hound, knows no quit and runs at about a medium speed. RUTH has a great nose and exclaims the find and conducts the chase with a high pitched chop mouth used liberally and with control. She spent many hours running cottontails at Tony's place in New York a few years ago. She's matured considerably from this training and has learned to handle the tough running creepers in the heat and would stay afield running all day alone until picked up. At home she earns her keep running snowshoe hare and is heavily gunned. Over the years this dog has proven to be one of the best hounds I've had and can run solo as good if not better than any hound around here under tough scenting conditions. She suffered a severe back injury about two years ago and that set her back as far as field competitions go, but still can win in any trial entered especially if conditions don't favor fast running. She has a great snow nose and accounts for a high percentage of game started even on some of the low temperatures often found in this State.

LEB CITY ON HIGH HANNAH Whelped 03-31-05
HANNAH at this writting just turned two years of age and has developed beyond our expectations. She has been trained solo mostly during this past spring and summer and got some brace running with her litter sister "Nynah" owned by my good friend Neal Smith.
During the 2006/2007 hunting season she performed especially well considering this being her first exposure to running on snow. By seasons end she ran on all kind of different snow textures and ran with great authority consistently. She came in heat in February and was bred to Neals dog "CHASE" on 2-28-2007. On March 26th, she was hunted on a difficult granular crust and accounted for some good runs in a tough hunt situation. On Saturday March 31st she was entered in her first trial at KENNEBEC in a class of 17 big bitches. This was an SP trial whereas the judges had to take a winners pack down to a brace. She performed well throughout the event and on through the brace portion of the competition on a tough granular frozen snow. Hannah won the class in a dominant fashion against a number of near field champions.

LEB CITY SAINT ROSE OF SHARON Sharon was whelped 02-16-2003 We recently added Sharon to our pack a short while ago and being a Mr Bill bred hound and out of dogs we hada few years ago, we're anxious to train her into hunting condition this summer. Sharon is a border line 13 inch hound and is a hard hunting, with a close running style and with a squall mouth. She handles quite well, packs up good and knows no quit. We look forward to seeing her develop to her full potential over the next few months and she'll be heavilly gunned this winter.
